The Healings at Gennesaret
A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 14, 34 – 36:
After Jesus and the Apostles made the crossing, they came to land at Gennesaret. When the men of the that place recognized him, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought to him all those who were sick and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak, and as many as touched it were healed.
My whole family is in mourning as my brother-in-law Leo Bernard died today. He passed away at 5:00 a.m. this morning surrounded by his wife, Esther, and all their children. He will be waked on Wednesday and on Thursday afternoon we will have the funeral at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road. He lived just next door to me with my sister Esther. Please pray Jesus takes him to heaven and pray especially for my sister and their children.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who walk with Me every day. After walking on the water the night before, in the morning the Apostles and I disembarked at Gneenesaret. Many people in this place knew Me and they knew that I had cured many people, so they sent word throughout the area that I had arrived and so they should come to meet Me with the sick people. Many people came and many sick people too. They simply asked to touch the tassel of my cloak and they were all healed. One thing I noticed about these people is that they had faith in Me and that is why they were all healed.
I call you all My friends to be like these people. Believe in Me with all your heart and know that I can do anything to help you. Come in faith and ask Me for what you want especially if it is a healing and I will help you. I love you and I died for you on the cross so you could be My friends. Let us be friends and meet every day especially through prayer. I bless you all.”
