The Rich Official

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 18, 18 – 23:

An official asked him this question, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother.'” And he replied, “All of these I have observed from my youth.” When Jesus heard this he said to him, “There is still one thing left for you, sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” But when he heard this he became quite sad, for he was very rich.

We had another fierce winter storm yesterday and today. The storm ended this afternoon and the sun came out. We received nearly a foot of snow (about 20 cm). The roads are not cleared yet and of course my driveway is not cleared. There is a snowbank at my back door once again. I pray that these snowstorm will end now. There is still plenty of snow on the ground here and soon it will be springtime so it should disappear in the next few weeks.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I hope that you are ready to do what I ask you to do My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who accept Me as your Redeemer. In the parable of the rich official you see that this man was an observer of all the commandments, but when I told him to give away to the poor all he had and to come and follow Me, he refused because he was rich. It is a fact that it is very difficult for a rich man to enter heaven for he is attached to his money. All believers of mine should be ready to do all that I ask of them. If I call you to be a priest or a religious, you should be ready to accept this call and to follow it. I call the twelve Apostles and they all agreed to follow Me although one of them turned against Me and sold Me for thirty pierces of silver. The others however followed Me all their lives and all of them except one are martyrs, who gave their lives out of love for Me. Be ready My friends to give up everything you have in order to follow My call. If you do so then you surely will be in heaven with Me one day. Do not be like this rich official who could not give up his money out of love for Me. I bless you all.”

The Day of the Son of Man

The Day of the Son of Man

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 17, 22 – 37:

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. There will be those who will say to you, ‘Look, there he is’ or ‘Look, here he is.’ Do not go off, do not run in pursuit. For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man; they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage up to the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, on the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all. So it will be on the day of the Son of Man is revealed.
On that day a person who is on the housetop and whose belongings are in the house must not go down to get them, and likewise a person in the field must not return to what was left behind. Remember the wife of Lot. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it. I tell you, on that night there will be two people in one bed, one will be taken, the other left. And there will be two women grinding meal together; one will be taken, the other left.” They said to him in reply, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there also the vultures with gather.”

Today is Friday in Lent. In all parish churches there will be the Way of the Cross. All Catholics should attend the Way of the Cross and contemplate the sufferings of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We must be truly aware of what Jesus suffered for us sinners. First He was beaten severely and He was bleeding all over his body. They put a crown of thorns on His head and this must have been terribly painful. After that He was given the cross to carry. He fell three times on the way before He reached to place of His crucifixion. He was nailed to the cross and suffered three hours on the cross before He died. All this He suffered for you and me for He loves us and He wants to save us. Let us believe in Him with all our hearts and follow Him every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have great faith in My Son Jesus. He told His Apostles that one day after His suffering and death on the cross and His resurrection and ascension, He will return to earth for the last time. Everyone will see Him as we see the sun during the day. He will come with great power at the end of the world. The angels will be with Him. On that day some will go with Him and others will depart from Him. This means that the good people will go with Him to heaven but the evil people will depart from Him and go to the place of suffering and fire. So I call upon you, My dear sons and daughters, to accept Jesus My Son as your Lord and Savior. I want you to pray every day and how I wish that you pray the rosary every day. Every Sunday go to Holy Mass and after you have repented of your sins then you can go and receive Holy Communion. There in the host lives My Son Jesus. He wants to come into your heart and to give you the graces you need to do what is right and to avoid all evil. I am praying for you every day that you cooperate with My Son using the graces He gives you to walk the way to everlasting life. I bless you all.”

The Coming of the Kingdom of God

March 13, 2015

The Coming of the Kingdom of God

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 17, 20 – 21:

Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said in reply, “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”

I thank all those who sent me money. I hope I will receive some more because I have not received the full amount yet. It is now coming to the end. After this I should not have to ask any more money. Pray that the money for the Shrine and the Monasteries will come now very soon. The Lord and Our Blessed Mother want these great buildings built as soon as possible. A new era in the Church is fast approaching says the Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I hope you are all members of the Kingdom of God, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are baptized Catholics and active members of My Church. With My coming on earth, you know now that the Kingdom of God came among you. All those who are baptized are members of the Kingdom for through Baptism all sins are forgiven and you receive the special grace of being a member of the Kingdom I brought to you. I call you all to live according to the teachings of My Church and to avoid sin. Be people of good deeds who are always ready to help those in difficulty and to love all people whether they are near or far. Be ready to forgive all those who hurt you in any way or sin against you.
One can loose his membership in the Kingdom of God by mortal sin. If you do something that is very sinful, then you are no longer in the Kingdom. You are like a person that is lost. In order to come back into the Kingdom, you have to repent of your sins and go and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession. Through this sacrament, your sins are forgiven by Me and you return to be a member of My Kingdom. When you are a member of the Kingdom, then you know that I live in your heart. So examine your conscience and see if you have sinned severely. Your conscience will let you know how you stand before Me. If you have sinned severely, do not remain in that sin for long, come quickly and receive absolution through the Sacrament of Penance.
When you die, if you are in the Kingdom of God, then you will go to heaven. If you are not in the Kingdom, then you are sent to the hell of fire. So My dear friends, remain with Me and remain in My Kingdom and you will be with Me in heaven one day. I bless you all.”
