The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 23, 33 – 49:

When they came to the place called the Skull; they crucified Jesus and the criminals there, one on his right, the other on his left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.” They divided his garments by casting lots. The people stood by and watched; the rulers, meanwhile, sneered at him and said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is the chosen one, the Messiah of God.” Even the soldiers jeered at him. As they approached to offer him wine, they called out, “If you are King of the Jews, save yourself.” Above him there was an inscription that read, “This is the King of the Jews.”
Now one of the criminals hanging there, reviled Jesus saying, “Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us.” The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, “Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon because of an eclipse of the sun. Then the veil of the Temple was torn down the middle. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit.”; and when he had said this he breathed his last. The centurion who witnessed what had happened glorified God and said, “This man was innocent beyond doubt.” When all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts; but all his acquaintances stood at a distance, including the women who had followed him from Galilee and saw these events.

Good Friday is the day that I live the Passion of the Lord. This started during my thirty-day retreat in Jerusalem. During this retreat I lived the Passion of the Lord for two weeks starting from the Garden of Gethsemane until His death on the cross. It was an unique experience and I know not too many have had this experience. Since then I live the Passion of the Lord for some hours on Good Friday. He makes me relive what He lived during this very great suffering. So tomorrow I will relive it again. I wrote a book called, “My Thirty-day Retreat.” It shows from day to day what I experience during this silent retreat. We did not have a preacher but we went to see our director individually once a day.I daily brought a report to my director about what happened during the last twenty four hours and he would read it and make comments and then he would tell me what I should do for the next twenty four hours.

Below is the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and spend time in contemplation on this Good Friday of My death on the cross. I offered My life until My death on the cross to My Father for the salvation of all the people of the world. You are all sinners and left on your own, you cannot enter heaven. So through My sacrifice, I atone for your sins, I opened heaven for you, and the Father forgave you all your offenses. I am the only person who could accomplish this because I am both divine and human. I am the Son of God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity and at the same time I am human born of the Blessed Virgin Mary. With these two natures, My heavenly Father could accept this sacrifice as perfect and so you could be renewed totally with a renewed human nature with all your sins taken away. Through My sacrifice you became the dear sons and daughters of God the Father and My very special brothers and sisters. Before My death on the cross, I gave My Mother to Saint John and to all of you as your Mother. You are all Her beloved children. She prays for you constantly and I want you all to love Her with all your heart. I call you all to believe in Me as your Savior and Lord and to pray for those who do not believe. I stretch out My hand to you all and I hope you will take it. I love you all.”

The Last Supper

The Last Supper

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 26, 26 – 30:

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.” Then after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Holy Thursday is the day that Our Lord instituted the Holy Eucharist. This is a wonderful gift of Jesus to all of us who believe in Him. By giving us the Eucharist just a day before He died, He made sure that He would remain with us in a very special way although He has gone to heaven and we do not see Him with our eyes. However, He is alive in the Eucharist and He lives in His special house, called the Church. Jesus in the Eucharist is kept in the tabernacle and we can go and visit Him any day. When we go to His house (this is: the Church) He is always there to welcome us. If the sanctuary light is lit that means that Jesus is there. We can also go to adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and this is very important for all believers. What wonderful gifts He gives us when we spend time with Him in adoration. We should never forget to thank Him for the great gift of the Eucharist.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and be present in spirit on the day I instituted the Holy Eucharist. Read the passage in the Bible concerning the institution and open your heart to contemplate My words. I was present with the eleven Apostles for the institution of the Eucharist. Judas Iscariot had just left to go and betray Me. We were present at the Last Supper and at the meal, I took the bread and blessed it, broke it and gave it to My disciples saying, ‘Take and eat, this is My Body.’ At that very moment there was no longer bread but it had been changed into My living Body. It is I now living in the bread. After the disciples ate the bread and at the end of the meal, I took a chalice full of wine, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you, for this is My Blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. I also added, “Do this in memory of Me.’ It is was that the wine changed into My Blood and I am present in the chalice. At that very moment all the eleven Apostles became priests. They now had the authority to consecrate the Holy Eucharist and to give this gift to all those who believed in Me and have repented of their sins. It is My Church who is in charge of the Eucharist and all priests must obey My Church especially the Pope.
My dear friends, with the Eucharist you have Me living with you. I am there at all times in My special home and I am always ready to welcome you. Know that I love you and I call you all to come and visit Me often. Every time you come to Holy Mass, you are able to receive Me in the host and I will come and live in your heart. I bless you all.”

The Coming Persecution

The Coming Persecution

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 21, 12 – 19:

Jesus said, “Before all this happens (He referred to the end of the world), however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogue and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name. It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives.”

I went to New Brunswick this afternoon to see my friend. He is working with my lawyer and everything is going well at this time. There is a woman trying to cause trouble and the lawyer said that she was like the devil. So I prayed to the Lord to defeat her. Now I won a great round today concerning her. I am so happy and I pray that the lawyer will soon announce that everything is over. Please pray that the Lord will accomplish a great feat.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Have great perseverance My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters when the persecution will begin. The evil people will attack all those who believe in Me. They will be arrested and thrown into prison and they will be brought before the courts and the judges. Remember you will have to give your testimony but do not worry for I will give you the words you will have to say. You will have great wisdom in speaking. Do not be afraid because if you persevere not a hair of your head will be destroyed. So remain always close to Me.
What is horrible in the world today is that there are so many people who have rejected faith and no longer pray or go to church. My heavenly Father is ready to let a great punishment fall on these people if there is not a change soon. Pray My friends, that these may receive the gift of faith and return to believe in Me and to pray. In this way the punishment will be avoided like the people of Nineveh. Pray every day for this great conversation. I bless you all.”
