The Raising of Lazarus (1)

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 11, 1 – 26:

Now a man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. Mary was the one who had anointed the Lord with perfumed oil and dried his feet with her hair; it was her brother Lazarus who was ill. So the sisters sent word to him saying, “Master, the one you love is ill.” When Jesus heard this he said, “That illness is not to end in death, but is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that he was ill, he remained for two days in the place where he was. Then after this he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.” The disciples said to him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you, and you want to go back there?” Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If one walks during the day he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks at night he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” He said this and then told them, “Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.” So the disciples said to him, “If he is asleep he will be saved.” But Jesus was talking about his death, while they thought that he meant ordinary sleep. So then Jesus said to them clearly, “Lazarus has died. And I am glad for you that I was not there, that you may believe. Let us go to him.” So Thomas, called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go to die with him.”

As some of you know I have the Book of Remembrance. People can write names of people in that book. They can write the names of the living and of the dead. I celebrate three Masses a week for a whole year for those written in the book. That means I celebrate over 150 Masses for these people. It costs only $15.00 to write one person in the book for all those Masses. One can write relatives and friends, especially those who are sick or those Catholics who no longer practise their religion. They can also write the names of their relatives and friends who have died and these Masses will help them to get to heaven if they are in Purgatory. Many of those written in the book have had great changes in their lives and others have returned to pray and go to church every Sunday. You can send the money via Paypal. Thank you very much.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me, you know that I performed many miracles when I was on earth. Now I wish to talk to you about Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha who lived in Bethany. He took sick and his sisters wrote to Me that he was sick. At that time I was at the Jordan River and I decided to wait until he died before going to Bethany. I did this to show the Apostles that I could raise the dead to life so that their faith in Me may be strong, for I am their Lord and Savior. My death on the cross was fast approaching, and they needed strong faith to remain attached to Me during these difficult days. When I told the Apostles after two days that we would go now to Bethany, they were afraid and told Me that the Jews wanted to stone Me only a short time ago. I told them not to worry about that for I knew that My time had not yet come for Me to die on the cross. As we left for Bethany, Thomas said these words, ‘Let us also go to die with him.’
My dear friends, this miracle of the raising of Lazarus from the dead, touched many people and they came to believe that I was the Messiah, the Son of God. Open your hearts and come and accept this miracle so that your faith may grow and you will be committed to Me for the rest of your life.”

Feast of the Dedication

Feast of the Dedication

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 10, 22 – 42:

The feast of the Dedication was then taking place in Jerusalem. It was winter. And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me. But you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
The Jews again picked up rocks to stone him. Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?” The Jews answered him, “We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. You, a man, are making yourself God.” Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods.” If it calls them gods to whom the word of God came, and scripture cannot be set aside, can you say that the one whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world blasphemes because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? If I do not perform my Father’s work, do not believe me; but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may realize and (understand) that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” Then they tried again to arrest him; but he escaped from their power.
He went back across the Jordan to the place where John first baptized, and there he remained. Many came to him and said, “John performed no sign, but every thing John said about this man was true.” And many there began to believe in him.

I thank all those who have sent me money to pay the court bills. It is now coming to an end although there is still some money needed. I hope next week I can get the rest of the money and finish all this so that the money of Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother will come in to build all the three buildings that they asked me to do. Please pray that the money will come in soon.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, come and believe that I am the Son of God, the Messiah (Savior) of the world. When the Jews at the temple asked Me if I was the Messiah, I told them that I had already spoken to them that I was the Savior but they did not want to believe. I added this: if they refused to believe in Me then they should believe in all the many miracles I performed. I did all these miracles because the Father asked Me to do so. However, the Jews refused to believe in Me because they do not belong to Me. They are not part of My sheepfold. Those who are part of My sheepfold believe in Me and they follow Me. I gave them eternal life. These who believe in Me are mine and no one can take them out of My hands. They are also in the Father’s hand. At the end I said to the Jews that the Father and I are one. They wanted to stone Me to death because they thought that I had blasphemed. I am the one who was consecrated by the Father and sent into the world and can I blaspheme by doing the will of My Father. They tried again to arrest Me but I hid from them.
My dear friends, pray for all those who do not believe in Me that they may receive the gift of faith and become My followers. I love you all.”

The Good Shepherd

The Good Shepherd

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 10, 1 – 21:

Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber. But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice, as he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice. But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.” Although Jesus used this figure of speech, they did not realize what he was trying to tell them.
So Jesus said again, “Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and out and find pasture. A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them. This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd. This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have power to lay it down, and power to take it up again. This command I have received from my Father.”
Again there was a division among the Jews because of these words. Many of them said, “He is possessed and out of his mind; why listen to him?” Others said, “These are not the words of one possessed; surely a demon cannot open the eyes of the blind, can he?”

Last night we had thunder and heavy rain for a short period but today it was sunny all day. It is getting warmer every day. Today the temperature was 25 degrees Celsius. We should have some rain on Sunday. I thank those who sent me money but I still need some more.

Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke these words to him,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who listen to My Son Jesus as He teaches you through the Scripture. In the reading above He tells the Jews that He is their shepherd for they are the sheep. All those who believe in Him and follow Him are His sheep and He leads them. He is the gate of the sheepfold. His sheep all know Him and they follow Him but they would not follow a stranger. He told the Jews that He is ready to lay down his life for them and to take it up again. He told them that He has other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These too he will lead so that there will be only one flock and one shepherd. By this My Son meant that in the world there are different churches but He wants only one church and that is the church he founded. All the other Christians who do not belong to His Church, must leave their group and join the real group of My Son by entering His Church.
Come My sons and daughters who have left the Church of My Son, come and return to His Church. All who believe in Him must listen to Him and be part of the Sheepfold which is His Church. I bless you all.”
