The Entry into Jerusalem

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 12, 12 – 19:

On the next day, when the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took palm branches and went out to meet him and cried out:
“Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the king of Israel.”

Jesus found an ass and sat upon it; as is written:
“Fear no more, O daughter Zion;
see, your king comes, seated upon an ass’s colt.”

His disciples did not understand that at first, but when Jesus had been glorified they remembered that these things were written about him and that they had done this for him. So the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from death continue to testify. This was also why the crowd went to meet him, because they heard that he had done this sign. So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the whole world has gone after him.”

I went to New Brunswick this morning and it was raining almost until noon. The rain stopped in the afternoon and in the evening the sun came out. It was still cloudy though. My van went dead on the way. So I had to get a mechanic to fix it. He worked for over one hour and finally it was running very well so I came home. The day before I was in Summerside and when I arrived there one tyre went flat. The garage gave me a second hand tyre and I could come home. My old van is causing me trouble these days.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and join the Jews in leading Me into the city of Jerusalem. I sat on the back of a colt and the people waved palm branches and sang songs in great joy. The group came from Bethany and walked all the way to Getsemane. Today at that place at the foot of the Mount of Olive there is a nice church and it stands where I suffered the Passion.
When the Pharisees heard what had happened, they thought that they were not gaining anything but all the Jews had gone after Me. I entered Jerusalem supported by a large crowd to fulfill what had been written in the Bible about Me. I am the Messiah, the Savior of the world.
My dear brothers and sisters, what happened that day with My glorious entry into Jerusalem, shows you once more that indeed I am the Lord of the world. All are called to believe in Me and to accept Me as the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. It is true that after a week I was nailed to the cross and I died for each one of you. I accepted this to atone for your sins and to open heaven for you. Come now and grow in your love for Me and open your heart to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want you all to be members of My Church on earth and when your time will be over on earth then you will enter the Kingdom of God in heaven to live in eternal happiness with Me, the Father and the Holy Spirit. I love you all.”
