Unbelief of Jesus’ Hearers
A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 5, 41 – 47:
Jesus said, “I do not accept human praise; moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you. I came in the name of my Father, but you did not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God? Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father: the one who will accuse you is Moses; in whom you have placed your hope. For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”
I am slowly getting used to my new computer. It is difficult to get accustomed to all the new features that this computer has. I wish to thank all those who have sent me money to pay my bills. I especially thank an anonymous person who sent me money to pay for the tyres on my van. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I have a problem with my newsletter. I had it all written but I lost it all and it is difficult to write the whole thing again.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:
“I know you believe in Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given their lives to Me. However, as the Bible passage above shows, many Jews did not believe in Me. They said that I did healings in the name of the devil and that I was telling lies. They refused to see that I have the power of God for indeed I am the Son of God the Father and He is the one who sent Me into the world to save you all. In My whole life on earth I always obeyed the Father and did everything He asked of Me. I agreed to suffer and die for you so that your sins could be forgiven and that you receive the graces you need to follow Me. I call you to baptism so that you could be a member of My Kingdom and one day enter heaven to live there forever. Follow Me every day and be people of prayer. I bless you all.”
