Cleansing of the Temple

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John, 2, 13 – 25:

Since the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went to Jerusalem. He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves, he said, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” His disciples recalled the words of scripture, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” At this, the Jews answered and said to him, “What sign can you show us for doing this?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty six years, and you will raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken.
While he was in Jerusalem for the feast of Passover, many began to believe in his name when they saw the signs he was doing. But Jesus would not trust himself to them because he knew them all and did not need anyone to testify about human nature. He himself understood it well.

A great happening took place yesterday and it surely was brought about by the Lord Himself. A person who was causing me a lot of trouble and wanted to steal the money for building the shrine to Our Lady and the monasteries want thrown out of court and my lawyer could not understand this for he said only the Lord could have done something like this. Now I still have to pay a debt to the court and then the money for the buildings will be coming in. I still need help but it is coming to an end. Soon the money will arrive to start these buildings asked by Jesus, Our Lord, and by Our Dear Mother.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to respect all My churches. These are not to be used as marketplaces where you sell all kinds of things. You see what I did in the temple in Jerusalem when the Jews were selling animals, doves etc. inside the temple. I made a whip of cords and chased all these people with their animals out of the place. I even overturned the tables of the money changers. Those who were selling doves, I did not use my whip on them but I told them to take those birds out of here. At the end the temple was clear of all those people selling things. You know that the temple was the house of My Father and it had to be respected. What about the churches today in the world? Do the people show respect to Me as I live in the Eucharist in the tabernacle? I can see what is going on in many of My churches. Many sit down in church and talk even during Holy Mass. Others come in and out of church and they do not genuflect to honor Me. I want every person who goes in the church to be silent, to genuflect and to pray. Do not be afraid to kneel down and say a prayer to Me when you arrive and when you depart. How I wish that you would receive Me in Holy Communion on the tongue. There have been so many abuses of the host since you have been receiving the host in the hand. Remember I am your Savior and Lord and I came to redeem you so that you can come to heaven with Me one day. I bless you all.”
