Temptations to Sin

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 17, 1 – 6:

Jesus said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur. It would be better for him if a milestone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. Be on your guard. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.”
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Some people are still writing to me to enter names in the Book of Remembrance. I offer three Masses a week for a whole year for all those written in that book and I pray my rosary and other prayers for them every day. If you wish to have your name or some of your family entered in the book, then write to me and give me the names. You know that to write a name in the Book of Remembrance cost $15.00 and they will be in the book for a full year. Many who are written there have been converted and others healed.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Beware My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that you will be tempted at times to sin. You can be tempted by the devil, by the allurements of the world and by the flesh. So be aware of this, and as soon as you are aware of a temptation then immediately begin to pray and the temptation will go away. It is absolutely horrible to cause another person to sin especially if it is a young person. So I call you all to be on your guard. If somebody should sin against you and this person repents of what he or she did, then forgive that person. If a person should sins against you seven times a day and each time repents of what he or she did, then you should forgive that person.
It is a good thing for you to pray for an increase of faith. You all need an increase of faith. With great faith you can do wonderful things as I showed my Apostles. I told them that if they have faith the size of a mustard seed, they could say to a mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it would obey them. Faith is a great gift that comes from Me. Ask for it and I will give you an increase of that gift. Pray also for those who do not have faith and they will be blessed with this gift. I bless you all.”
