Martha and Mary

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 10, 38 – 42:

As they continued their journey Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha burdened with much serving, came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”

I wish to thank those who have sent me money. I received enough money today to buy heating oil and some food. My oil tank will be filled tomorrow. I hope I can change the oil in my car one of these days and soon I will need new tires. Another person sent me $50 via Paypal and I will receive it shortly. If some can help me to pay the rest of my bills, please do so by Paypal which you will find on Our Lady’s website: www.ourladyofpei.com
May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to have great love for the two great saints who welcomed Me to their homes. They are Saint Martha and Saint Mary Magdalene. They lived with their brother Lazarus whom I brought back to life after he was buried for some days. The first time I went to their home with the Apostles, it was Martha who welcomed Me into their home. She worked hard to prepare a nice meal for all of us. Her sister Mary, however, sat at My feet and listened to all that I was saying. She opened her heart to take in everything I had to say. That day for her was a moment of great conversion. After that day she followed Me to many places and she did many great things such as wash My feet with her tears and wipe them with her hair. Her sister Marta was also converted and she followed Me for the rest of her life. Their brother Lazarus was also converted and he became an example to the Apostles and the people of the place of what would happen to Me. He died and was buried but through My power he came back to life in good health and all the people were amazed at what happened. Today people still go to their homes and they visit the empty tomb where Lazarus was buried. This is to show you, My brothers and sisters, that I am indeed the Son of God who came into this world to show you how I love you and that I died on the cross to save you. I love you all.”
