Praise of the Father

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 10, 21 – 29:

At that very moment Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
Turning to the disciples in private he said, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
There was a doctor of the law who stood up to test Jesus and said, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?” He said in reply, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart. with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” He replied to him, “You have answered correctly, do this and you will live.”

I have a great love for Pope Francis, our great leader who was born in Argentina. Before becoming Pope, he was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires where I visited a number of times and I celebrated Healing Masses in this great city. Pope Francis makes me think of Jesus who loved the poor and cared for them. Our Lord healed so many poor sick people and even fed five thousand people in the desert. Pope Francis loved to visit the poor places in the city of Buenos Aires and he also loves children and especially those who are sick or handicapped. I pray for the Pope every day that the Lord will continue to bless him daily.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You are all called to love the Father especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who take My words to heart. I prayed to My Father every day when I was on earth and I loved Him with all My heart and soul and I only do what My Heavenly Father tells Me. I want you too to follow My example. I gave you a beautiful prayer which I want you to pray often during the day. That prayer is the “Our Father.” Show your Heavenly Father that He means everything for you. He is also your Father and He is the one who gives you all the wonderful things that you have. You have life that comes from Him and if you have good health that thank Him for this gift. You have something to eat so thank Him for the food you eat. Thank Him for everything every day.

You are called to love the Father who is God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength and will all your mind and your neighbor as yourself. These were the words that a scholar of the law answered Me when I asked him what was written in the law. Follow all these great words and you will one day be in heaven with the Father.

I told My disciples that they were privileged to be My followers for they see what no one has seen and they hear what no one has heard. Very few people had the privilege to be so close to the Son of God and to listen to all that He taught and to see all the miracles that He accomplished. My Apostles saw it all.

These disciples of mine have passed on to you through the Bible all these wonderful things that they saw and heard. Listen to them and open your heart to accept all that they teach you. I love you and I bless you all.”
