To Live and Die for Christ

A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 14, 1 – 12:

Welcome anyone who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions. One person believes that one may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. The one who eats must not despise the one who abstains, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats; for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. For one person considers one day more important than another, while another person considers all days alike. Let everyone be fully persuaded in his own mind. Whoever observes the day, observes it for the Lord. Also whoever eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; while whoever abstains, abstains for the Lord and gives thanks to God. None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord, so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For this is why Christ died and came to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. Why then do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God, for it is written:
“As I live, say the Lord, every knee shall bend before me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.”
So then each of us shall give an account of himself or herself to God.

Last evening I had a healing service in the Chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. Some people came and I prayed on every one of them. There was one young woman there who had cancer. I prayed with all my heart that the Lord would heal her and I will continue to pray for her. It was a great evening and I felt the Holy Spirit in the chapel with us. May the Lord bless all of them.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you to live with Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, who have given their lives to Me. You are not in the world to judge your brothers and sisters but to always be welcoming and to never stop praying for all of them. In the morning when you wake up, give me the day that is beginning and offer everything you will do to Me. You do not live for yourself but you are to live for Me, your Savior. Remember that you live for Me and you die for Me. I am the centre of your life and I am there every day even to the last day of your life on earth.
Remember I came to live in the world and I gave every day of My life to My Father in heaven. At the end I gave My death on the cross to My Father and you are to do the same thing by also giving your death to Me. You know that I am Lord of both the living and the dead. I am there for you every day of your life, so do not forget Me and come and ask Me for whatever you need. I am there to help you. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a rainy and windy day on Saturday and the sun only came out for a few minutes in the afternoon.
