End of the First Mission

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 14, 21 – 28:

After they had proclaimed the Good News to that city and made a considerable number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch. They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, “It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.” They appointed presbyters for them in each church and, with prayers and fasting, commended them to the Lord in whom they had put their faith. Then they traveled through Pisidia and reached Pamphylia. After proclaiming the word at Perga they went down to Attalia. From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now accomplished. And when they arrived, they called the church together and reported what God had done with them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Then they spent no little time with the disciples.

A woman came to see me one day with great anxiety and fear. She could hardly sleep at night and she thought of all kinds of horrible things that could happen to her. I prayed for her and placed my hands on her head and asked the Lord to take away all that anxiety and fear and to fill her with His peace, love and joy. After the prayer she did not have any more anxiety or fear and she thanked the Lord for driving all that away. Praise the Lord for He is always there to help us.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who are following My Son Jesus every day and have offered themselves to Him to follow Him every day. Saint Paul and Barnabas did great work in the many places they visited and preached the Word of God to the Gentiles there. There were even miracles of healing to show them that My Son Jesus was with them. Many people came to believe and to follow My Son Jesus and that filled their hearts with joy. They suffered too at the hands of the Jews and the leaders who tried to arrest them and to kill them but they managed to leave the town in time and to go to another place.
Every one of you, My sons and daughters, you are to imitate them as far as you can. Do not forget to speak about My Son Jesus to them and to show them that you follow Him and that you pray every day and you go to church every Sunday. Invite them to come to Holy Mass on Sunday so that once they begin to go, they will continue to attend the Holy Mass. In time they will have great faith and return to receive My Living Son in the Holy Eucharist. I bless you all and I am praying for you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. It rained for most of the day today Friday. At times it was raining very hard. It will rain again tomorrow and then we will have the beautiful sun again. May the Lord bless you all.
