The Need for Assistants

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 6, 1 – 7:

At that time, as the number of disciples continued to grow, the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said, “It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table. Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men, filled with the Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint to this task, whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” The proposal was acceptable to the whole community, so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit, also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles who prayed and laid hands on them. The word of God continued to spread, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly, even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

At that healing Mass near Quebec City seven persons were healed of grave sicknesses. One had cancer and it was advanced. I prayed for that person and the cancer disappeared. When this person was sent to the hospital for tests, there was nothing left of the cancer. Thank you Lord for your great power and love.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you all to believe in the Holy Spirit My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in the world today. The Apostles were inspired by the Holy Spirit to find seven men to help take care of the poor and the widows. The people accepted and they selected seven men including the great saint and martyr Saint Stephen. Today these men are called deacons and they do great work. When these men were selected the Apostles placed their hands on them and prayed for them. They began to do their work and all were satisfied.
Today we have deacons but in many countries the bishops have rejected to appoint deacons. They prefer to take lay men and women to do the work of the deacons. This goes against My desires and I want them to change their idea and start appointing deacons and to train them. I do not like laymen and women to give Holy Communion, I prefer that the priests and the deacons give the Holy Eucharist. I want deacons in every parish to work together with the parish priest at Holy Mass and to teach the young and those who wish to enter the church. The church is defective in many countries because of the lack of deacons. Pray that deacons will soon be appointed in those countries. I bless you all.”

P.S. A hurricane came out way on Saturday but it did not touch us in this part of the Island. We only had some rain and some wind but nothing severe. The hurricane went another way. We thank the Lord for sending that storm somewhere else. It went mostly into the ocean. Thank you Lord.
