Titus in Crete

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to Titus (1:1-16):

Paul, a slave of God and apostle of Jesus Christ for the sake of the faith of God’s chosen ones and the recognition of religious truth, in the hope of eternal life that God, who does not lie, promised before time began, who indeed at the proper time revealed his word in the proclamation with which I was entrusted by the command of God our savior, to Titus, my true child in our common faith: grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our savior.
For this reason I left you in Crete so that you might set right what remains to be done and appoint presbyters in every town, as I directed you, on condition that a man be blameless, married only once, with believing children who are not accused of licentiousness or rebellious. For a bishop as God’s steward must be blameless, not arrogant, not irritable, not a drunkard, not aggressive, not greedy for sordid gain, but hospitable, a lover of goodness, temperate, just, holy, and self-controlled, holding fast to the true message as taught so that he will be able both to exhort with sound doctrine and to refute opponents.
For there are also many rebels, idle talkers and deceivers, especially the Jewish Christians. It is imperative to silence them, as they are upsetting whole families by teaching for sordid gain what they should not. One of them, a prophet of their own, once said, “Cretans have always been liars, vicious beasts, and lazy gluttons.” That testimony is true. Therefore, admonish them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith, instead of paying attention to Jewish myths and regulations of people who have repudiated the truth. To the clean all things are clean, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is clean; in fact, both their minds and their consciences are tainted. They claim to know God, but by their deeds they deny him. They are vile and disobedient and unqualified for any good deed.

I call you all to pray that the intentions of Our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, may be accomplished soon. Let us continue to pray the rosary every day for all that She wants.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I wish you all grace and peace, especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who hold on dearly to the faith you have received. Saint Paul, as his letter tells us, left Titus in Crete to head My Church so he might set right the people who belong to this special Church. Titus carried out a great job and he was able to organize My Church all over the Island of Crete.
“This is what I tell you all, My dear brothers and sisters. There are so many things going on in My Church which are not good. Some of the leaders preached things such as this: the Church should ordain women priests. As your Savior though, I have never accepted that. I want My brothers to become priests and to serve My Church. Some say that My Church should accept divorce. This goes completely against My teaching. Others preach that My followers do not have to go to Mass on Sunday. Such teaching comes from the evil one and no believer should ever accept this. Some teach that homosexuality is not a sin. It is very clear in the Bible that every homosexual act in sinful, and marriage of two of the same sex is a horrible sin. Do not accept what society is teaching you because today, most governments follow the evil one and they have rejected Me. Listen to Pope Francis whom I have accepted as the leader of My Church and the successor of Saint Peter. I love you all and I bless you.”

          Father Melvin
