The Lord’s Supper

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor 11:17-27):

In giving this instruction, I do not praise the fact that your meetings are doing more harm than good. First of all, I hear that when you meet as a church there are divisions among you, and to a degree I believe it; there have to be factions among you in order that also those who are approved among you may become known. When you meet in one place, then, it is not to eat the Lord’s supper, for in eating, each one goes ahead with his own supper, and one goes hungry while another gets drunk. Do you not have houses in which you can eat and drink? Or do you show contempt for the church of God and make those who have nothing feel ashamed? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this matter I do not praise you.
For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful days we have had during the past week. Yesterday it was sunny and warm, especially in the afternoon.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Believe in My Holy Eucharist, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. I instituted the Holy Eucharist on Good Thursday, the day before I died. I was with the Apostles in the Upper Room in Jerusalem when I ate the Last Supper with them, and during this meal I took bread and blessed it and said these words, ‘This is My Body.’ Then at the end of the meal I took a cup of wine blessed it and said, ‘This is the cup of My Blood, the Blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of Me.’
“All are called to believe that I am truly present in the host and in the chalice as I am living now in heaven. Only those who have no mortal sins can come and receive Me in the Eucharist. I wish to come and live in your heart if you have prepared your heart for Me. Come as often as possible to receive Me during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. I love you and I want to live close to you in your heart.”
