Reactions to Paul’s Speech
Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (26:24-32):
While Paul was so speaking in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice, “You are mad, Paul; much learning is driving you mad.” But Paul replied, “I am not mad, most excellent Festus; I am speaking words of truth and reason. The king knows about these matters and to him I speak boldly, for I cannot believe that (any) of this has escaped his notice; this was not done in a corner. King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you believe.” Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You will soon persuade me to play the Christian.” Paul replied, “I would pray to God that sooner or later not only you but all who listen to me today might become as I am except for these chains.”
Then the king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and the others who sat with them. And after they had withdrawn they said to one another, “This man is doing nothing at all that deserves death or imprisonment.” And Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Accept My teachings as the truth, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are My followers. The wonderful story of Saint Paul should impress you all. He was My enemy at the beginning and he did all he could to destroy all I had done. However, he was converted when I appeared to him and called him to be My servant. He did believe in Me and work very well in many countries. When King Agrippa heard his story, he said that there was no need to keep him in prison. He had done nothing wrong but as he had appealed to the Emperor, they had to send him to Rome. It is there in Rome that he was killed although he had done nothing wrong.
“I call you all, My brothers and sisters, to renew yourselves completely by taking on what I have given you. You are pardoned of all your sins if you have repented of them and now do not follow the ways of the world but follow Me, your Lord and Savior. I am there to help you to come home to heaven one day. I love you all.”
