Jesus Lost in Jerusalem

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Luke’s Gospel (2:41-51):

Each year his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover, and when he was twelve years old, they went up according to festival custom. After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. Thinking that he was in the caravan, they journeyed for a day and looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances, but not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.”
And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he said to them. He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart.

Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Our Blessed Mother. This expresses Her great love for Her Son Jesus and for all of us who are Her sons and daughters.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I embrace you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who accept Me as your Mother and who show great honor to Me. I love you all. It was a great sorrow for My husband Joseph and for Me when we lost Jesus when He was only twelve years of age. Just think what was going through our minds when we were searching for Him for three days. We thought that He had been kidnapped and taken far away and we did not know how we would find Him. Yes in My heart I knew that He was the Son of God and that the Father would take good care of His dear Son. What joy it was for Me to find Him in the temple in Jerusalem. There He was with the teachers, asking questions and answering their questions. Yes, indeed, I asked My Son, ‘Why have you done this to us?’ His answer I did not understand at that time. However, I kept His words in My Immaculate Heart and in time I understood what He said to us. He wanted to remind us that He was the Son of God and His true place was in the house of God the Father. I never forgot these words and I always believed that He was the Son of God and the Savior of the world.
“Jesus on the cross before He died, gave Me to you all as your Mother. I love you all with all My heart and I want you all close to Jesus, My Son, and close to Me, Your Mother. I bless you all.”
