Exhortation to be Vigilant
Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (21:34-38):
[Jesus said:] “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”
During the day, Jesus was teaching in the temple area, but at night he would leave and stay at the place called the Mount of Olives. And all the people would get up early each morning to listen to him in the temple area.

My oil tank was almost empty yesterday so I was able to find $500 to fill the tank once more but now I do not have any money left. So I have enough heating oil to last me for another two weeks. I hope by the time it will be empty I will have money to fill it again. Again I thank all those who helped me with their donations to be able to get this heating oil.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be vigilant every day My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living today all over the world. You do not know the day I will come. So if you do not want Me to come to you as a thief in the night, then be vigilant and be prepared every day. Look at every new day as the possible last day and so offer yourself totally to Me and ask for My help and My graces. If you prepare daily for My coming then when the day arrives, you will not be surprised and not overwhelmed. There are some who do not think about My coming and instead of preparing they seek for pleasure. Others spend their time in drinking alcohol and others look for worldly pleasure. This is dangerous because when I come I will find them unprepared and so they will not come with Me to heaven. I want to save you all but you need to cooperate with Me every day. You are My brothers and sisters and I want you all with Me in heavenly glory. I bless you all.”
