Temptations to Sin
Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (17:1-6):
[Jesus] said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur. It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.”
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Again I thank all those who write to me and send donations to help me buy heating oil and pay my bills. I see that my tank is going empty so I will need more oil soon. I also thank those who put cash in their envelope so I can use this money as soon as I get it. Otherwise if you send a cheque it will take two weeks before I am able to use this money. May the Lord bless you all.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be always ready to forgive My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who desire to follow Me every day. You should be ready to forgive every time one who has offended you says that he is sorry for what he did. You should forgive with all your heart and never dwell on what this person has done. He is your brother or your sister and you are to love him or her.
“Pray too for an increase of faith. There are many whose faith is weak and others are full of doubts. Come to Me with an open heart and ask that your faith may become strong and you will never doubt any of the truths I gave you. I cannot speak anything else but the truth. If you have great faith in Me, then you will walk with Me every day and you will be filled with My love, peace and joy. Come and live in union with Me. Pray too for those who do not have faith that they may receive this great gift. I bless you all.”
