The Appearances of Jesus
Dear Friends,
A reading from the Gospel of St. Mark (16:9-13):
When [Jesus] had risen, early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. She went and told his companions who were mourning and weeping. When they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
After this he appeared in another form to two of them walking along on their way to the country. They returned and told the others; but they did not believe them either. But later, as the eleven were at table, he appeared to them and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed those who saw him after he had been raised. He said to them,
“Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents (with their hands), and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Today begins the season of Advent. We have four Sundays to prepare for the great feast of Christmas. Let us make a resolution to pray every day, to pray the rosary daily and to go to Holy Mass every Sunday and even during the week if it is at all possible.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Peace be with you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living on earth at this time. At this time you are preparing for My birth in Bethlehem but today I wish to speak to you about the great event of My resurrection from the dead. After coming back to life on Easter morning, I showed myself first to Mary Magdalene and later to the Apostles and others saw Me too. I showed Myself to them so they could see with their eyes that I was indeed raised from the dead after being in the tomb for three days. It was very important for the Apostles to believe that I was risen from the dead, so that they would accept Me as the Messiah, the Savior of the world. As the Son of God, I could not remain in the tomb for, as you know God is life. As God I bring life to all of you. The Apostles did believe in Me and they worked hard to preach the good news throughout the world. I call you all, My brothers and sisters, to believe in Me with all your heart. Believe that I am your only Savior who has the power to bring you to heaven. I bless you all.“
