The Question of the Resurrection
Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (12:18-27):
Some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him and put this question to him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us, ‘If someone’s brother dies, leaving a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife and raise up descendants for his brother.’ Now there were seven brothers. The first married a woman and died, leaving no descendants. So the second married her and died, leaving no descendants, and the third likewise. And the seven left no descendants. Last of all the woman also died. At the resurrection when they arise whose wife will she be? For all seven had been married to her.” Jesus said to them, “Are you not misled because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God? When they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven. As for the dead being raised, have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly misled.”

It was cold and rainy all day yesterday here in Prince Edward Island. I guess we will have the same weather today but it will be sunny on Sunday. It is getting colder now and soon we will have snow. I will have to get more heating oil and I looked at the tank today and it is three quarters empty. I hope I will have money to fill it up in the next few days.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I greet you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have a deep love for Me. If you believe in Me, then you believe in the resurrection from the dead. The first one to rise from the dead is nobody else but Me. The story of the Sadducees is something else. They did not believe that the dead would rise again. They tried to catch Me in their tricks but I saw right through it. It is true in heaven there is no marriage. No children are born in heaven. All humans who live in heaven came from earth. You know that at the end of the world I will return to earth and all the dead since Adam and Eve will come back to life with both body and soul. They will have a resurrected body like mine. All those who followed Me while they were on earth will go to heaven with their resurrected body and soul. They will live in everlasting peace and joy filled with love. I want you all with Me in heaven so keep your mind and heart fixed on Me your Lord and Savior. I love you all.”
