Apostle to the Gentiles

Dear Friends,

Please read this passage from St. Paul’s Letter to the Gentiles (Rom 15:14-21):

I myself am convinced about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another. But I have written to you rather boldly in some respects to remind you, because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in performing the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering up of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to boast in what pertains to God. For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to lead the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have finished preaching the gospel of Christ. Thus I aspire to proclaim the gospel not where Christ has already been named, so that I do not build on another’s foundation, but as it is written: “Those who have never been told of him shall see, and those who have never heard of him shall understand.”

It started raining here last evening and it is raining still this morning. Yesterday I went trout fishing with my sister and we caught our full limit. I suppose that will do for this week. I call upon you all to continue to pray that what Our Blessed Mother asked for may be accomplished.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I give you today St. Paul as an example to follow, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sister living in the world. He accepted the graces I gave him for conversion and then he followed Me all the days of his life. I sent him to teach the Gentiles, the non-Jews, living mostly in Europe and the Middle East. He did a good job and many people accepted his teaching and became believers in Me, their Savior. Do not be afraid to mention My name in front of people and to answer their questions. I want the conversion of all the people of the world for I want them all in heaven with Me.

Pray, My friends, that the young Christians will open their hearts to accept the gift of vocation, which I am giving many of them. Today many are so attached to the things of the world that they refuse to listen to My call. Parents should get their children to pray every day and to accept all the graces I give them. It is the duty of parents to see that their children live morally and that they pray regularly and go to church regularly. In this case they will become My friends and I will bless them. There is also a great need for religious sisters today. I would like that many new religious orders of brothers and sisters would begin in the church soon. I bless you all and I call you to be faithful to Me.”
