Confirmation in Samaria

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (8:14- 25):

Now when the Apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who went down and prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for it had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. When Simon the Magician saw that the Spirit was conferred by the laying on of the Apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me this power too, so that anyone upon whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” But Peter said to him, “May your money perish with you, because you thought that you could buy the gift of God with money. You have no share or lot in this matter, for your heart is not upright before God. Repent of this wickedness of yours and pray to the Lord that, if possible, your intention may be forgiven. For I see that you are filled with bitter gall and are in the bonds of iniquity.” Simon said in reply, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.” So when they had testified and proclaimed the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem and preached the good news to many Samaritan villages.

I feel better today after this attack of the flu. I had a bad cold and fever and I was in bed for many days. Yesterday I was up for most of the day, I could pray my breviary and of course I prayed my rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet. I celebrated Holy Mass early yesterday morning. I thank you all for praying for me during the last few days. I hope now that my strength will come back soon as I still feel weak.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you with the Holy Spirit, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living all over the world. If you believe in Me and follow Me, I will be there to help you every day. I gave all the seven sacraments to My Church including the Sacrament of Confirmation. As it is said in the Acts of the Apostles, two Apostles were called to pray with them so that they receive the Holy Spirit. Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed with those who had been baptized and they received the Holy Spirit. God the Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father and I to all those who are ready to receive Him. He is the sanctifier and all men and women even children must receive the Holy Spirit with all His gifts in order to reach heaven. The Sacrament of Confirmation is given to all those who are baptized and have reached adolescent in most cases. You must understand the great power of this sacrament and live in the Holy Spirit every day. I had to return to heaven so that the Holy Spirit could come and He came upon the Apostles on the Great Feast of Pentecost. Call on the Holy Spirit to give you His gifts. I bless you all.”
