The Vine and the Branches

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 15, 1 – 10:

Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into the fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.”

We had a very heavy rainfall this evening when I was returning from Palmer Road Church where I went for one hour adoration. If it is possible I go to adoration for an hour every Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are people here in Prince Edward Island who are pushing that the Government open the hospitals for abortions. I wrote a letter to the newspaper letting them know that I am completely against abortion for every unborn child has the right to be born. Please pray that the Government will never agree to give permission to the hospitals here to have abortions.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Never forget My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that I am the true vine and My Father is the vine grower. You have all seen a vine how it grows beautifully and that it produces wonderful fruit. Well I am the vine and you, My people, are the branches. What happens to a branch if it is broken of the vine. It is no more good. It is thrown away in the fire and burned. So My friends you are to remain in Me so you can bear plenty of fruit. Without being in Me, you will never bear any fruit. You have to remain in Me and My words must also remain in you, then you can ask for what you need and it will be done for you. My heavenly Father would be glorified if you bear much fruit and become My disciples. So, My dear, remain in My love at all times and you will be blessed.
I love you all and I am always ready to help you.”
