Discussion about the Origins of the Messiah
A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 7, 40 – 52:
Some in the crowd who heard these words said, “This is truly the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee, will he? Does not scripture say that the Messiah will be of David’s family and come from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?” So a division occurred in the crowd because of him. Some of them even wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.
So the guards went to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why did you not bring him?” The guard answers, “Never before has anyone spoken like this one.” So the Pharisees answered them, “Have you also been deceived? Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd , which does not know the law, is accursed.” Nicodemus, one of their members who had come to him earlier, said to them, “Does our law condemn a person before it first hears him and finds out what he is doing?’ They answered and said to him, “You are not from Galilee also, are you? Look and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.”
Well today I received $450 to help pay the bill at the court. There is still $2,050 which I need by Tuesday. I hope and pray that I will get the rest of the money in time. I am praying that the money comes in time. Please pray with me so that all this money that Our Lord and Our dear Mother needs will be in the account to build the shrine and the two monasteries.
We had a nice day today although it was cloudy for most of the day.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I do not want you to have any doubts about Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have committed their lives to Me. That day I was in the Temple in Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles, the Jews discussed among themselves where I, the Messiah, should come from. People knew that I was living in Galilee in he north of the country and it was told in the Bible that no prophet ever came from that part of the country. Others knew that the Messiah was supposed to come from Bethlehem, the town where King David lived. The Jews did not know that I was born in Bethlehem for I was indeed from the family of King David. After My birth My parents went to live in Nazareth in Galilee and it was there that I grew up. It is a fact that all the Apostles came from Galilee and they were known by their accents in Jerusalem. Some Jews however believed that I was the Messiah.
You know, My brothers and sisters, that I am a descendant of King David but in fact My Father is God the Father and that Joseph, My Mother’s husband is not My true father.
He is known as My foster father and he took good care of Me when I was young. He was a very good man indeed. Come then, My friends, and believe with all your heart that I am your Savior who died on the cross for you to save you all. I bless you all.”
