Officers Sent to Arrest Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 7, 32 -39:

The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring about Jesus to this effect, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent guards to arrest him. So Jesus said, “I will be with you only a little longer, and then I will go to the one who sent me. You will look for me but not find me, and where I am you cannot come.” So the Jews said to one another, Where is he going that we will not find him? Surely he is not going to the dispersion among the Greeks to teach the Gentiles; is he? What is the meaning of his saying, ‘You will look for me and not find me, and where I am you cannot come?’
On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, “Let anyone who thirst come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as scripture says: ‘Rivers of living water will flow from within me.'”
He said this in reference to the Spirit that those who came to believe in him were to receive. There was, of course, no Spirit yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

In Europe they celebrated the Ascension of Our Lord yesterday, Thursday, as it was the day that He ascended into heaven. We in this part of the world, we celebrate the Ascension on Sunday so that a large crowd can be present for this feast. The following Sunday will be the Feast of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the beginning of the Catholic Church. So great feasts are on the way and we are called to celebrate them with great faith and joy.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who are believing Catholics and are people of prayer. Be great followers of My Son Jesus who is your Savior and Lord. When He was at the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, He was not afraid to speak to the Jewish people at the Temple telling them that He only has a short time to stay on earth, and where He is going the Jewish people will not be able to follow Him. Of course they did not know what He was talking about. In fact He was talking about His death and resurrection and His Ascension into heaven. He will sit at the right hand of God the Father and be the ruler of all the people of the world. On the last day of the feast, He told the Jews that if anyone is thirsty, let he comes to me and drink. He quoted the Bible by saying, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from within me.’ He was talking to them about the Holy Spirit that would come on the great day of Pentecost. You know that on Good Friday, My Son Jesus was arrested, scourged and condemned to death. He was nail to the cross and after three hours he died, but three days later He rose from the dead and remained with the Apostles for forty days and then He ascended into heaven. So the Father and My Son sent the Holy Spirit ten days later on the Feast of Pentecost.
My sons and daughters prepare yourselves to receive the Holy Spirit on the great day. He will come with many gifts for you. I love you all and I bless you.”
