The Parable of the Lost Sheep

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 15, 1 – 7:

The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” So to them Jesus addressed this parable, “What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and say to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”

We had a beautiful day on Wednesday. It was sunny for most of the day and the temperature came to 2 degrees Celsius (34 degrees F). We had a little bit of snow the night before but the two storms coming our way did not reach us, one turn north and the other from the south passed by New York and Boston then touched Nova Scotia and went out into the sea. Today the snow began to melt and the roads were full of water.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“There is a great story in the parable of the lost sheep My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who love to read the Gospel. I told the story of this man who had one hundred sheep and lost one. He left the ninety-nine in the desert and went in search of the lost one. He found it and placed it on his shoulders and with great joy returned home. He called his friends and neighbors and they rejoiced with him because he had found his sheep.
This parable is applied to sinners. If one sinner out of ninety-nine repents of his sins, there will be great joy in heaven. This means that this person who was following the evil way has turned around and now follows His Lord and Savior. This is why I came into the world to save as many sinners as possible who had no chance to get to heaven. It was through My sacrifice on the cross that I won the salvation of these sinners. I am calling every person to repent of his sins and come and unite with Me and they will be in heaven with Me one day. Pray My friends that all sinners may receive the graces they need to follow Me and to be saved. I love you all and I bless you.”
