Herod’s Desire to Kill Jesus
A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 13, 31 – 35:
At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.” Jesus replied, “Go and tell that fox: ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.’
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearn to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling. Behold your house will be abandoned. But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'”
Again I wish to thank all those who sent me money for my needs. There is one man who sent me an e-mail saying that he wants to pay my healing oil. I pray that this money is now on its way. My tank is just about empty. I have never been so short of money as at this time. I hope I will have some so I can have food on my table and heat in my house. May the Lord bless you all especially those who sent me some money.
Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have a close relationship with My Son Jesus and with Me. You know that King Herod was planning to kill Jesus, My Son. One day the Pharaisees had come to Him and told Him to leave the area because Herod wants to kill Him. My Son did not leave immediately. He was casting out demons and healing people for two days and He still had another day to accomplish all that He had to do. He told the Pharisees that a prophet cannot die outside of Jerusalem. Jesus, My Son, was crying over Jerusalem because of all the killings that had been done there by the leaders of the Jews and also by the Roman leaders. He would have loved to bring all the people of Jerusalem into the Kingdom of God but it was not possible because of these bad people. He knew that one day He would die in Jerusalem by being crucified on the cross but in three days He would rise again. He is your Lord and Savior and listen to Him and do what He tells you. I love you all.”
