Mutual Love

A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 12, 9 – 21:

Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor. Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality. Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Have the same regard for one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly; do not be wise in your own estimation. Do not repay anyone evil for evil; be concerned for what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, on your part, live at peace with all. Beloved, do not look for revenge but leave room for the wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Rather “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.

We had a taste of winter yesterday and today. It was cloudy all day yesterday and it rained much and even snow fell. It was cold down to 2 degrees Celsius. No snow stayed on the ground for as soon as it fell on the ground it melted. Today Tuesday it rained at times with some wet snow and at other times the sun came out. I hope it will get warmer soon.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“The greatest commandment I gave you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters is this: Love one another as I love you. Saint Paul in his letter also spoke about love especially mutual love. You are to love all your relatives and friends and all your neighbors. The love you have for all those you meet must be sincere. You are not to do anything evil but only what is good. You must be always ready to help those in need and you should associate with the lowly and do not show yourself as wise. Always repay evil with good. You are called to live in peace with every person. Never hate your enemy but if you find him or her hungry, feed this person. If he or she is thirsty, give this person something to drink. In this way you will show that you never harbor hatred in your heart. Come now My friends and follow Me and you will be blessed. I will give you My peace and there will be joy in your heart. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I am praying for all of you.
