Captivity in Caesarea
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 24, 24 – 27:
Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilia, who was Jewish. He had Paul summoned and listened to him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. But as he spoke about righteousness and self-restraint and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said, “You may go for now; when I find an opportunity I shall summon you again.” At the same time he hoped that a bribe would be offered him by Paul, and so he sent for him very often and conversed with him.
Two years passed and Felix was succeeded by Procius Festus. Wishing to ingratiate himself with the Jews, Felix left Paul in prison.
One day a teenager came to visit me saying that he was possessed by evil spirits. I asked him what he has done which he should not have done. He mentioned that he played the Wiji board. I told him never to do that again and I prayed with this teenager and he was completely liberated from these evil spirits. I thank the Lord for helping this person.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and know Me as perfectly as possible. You will know Me if you read the New Testament especially the Gospels. You must not just know about Me but come to know Me as I am. Saint Paul spent two years in prison in Caesarea and there he had time to be close to Me and to contemplate Me every day and to have this heart to heart talk with Me. Through these long days with Me, he grew daily in holiness and his great desire was to be with Me in heaven. There were no doubts in his mind about Me but he was full of love for Me and daily he would offer himself totally to Me to do My will. Not many have such a long time to spend with Me every day. I want you all, My friends, to spend time with Me every day to contemplate Me in a heart to heart talk that brings you very closely united with Me. I bless you all and I give you all the graces you need every day. I love you all.”
