Peter’s Speech
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 3, 11 – 26:
As the (healed beggar) clung to Peter and John, all the people hurried in amazement toward them in the portico called “Solomon’s Portico.” When Peter saw this, he addressed the people, “You Israelites, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus whom you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence, when he had decided to release him. You denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. The author of life you put to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses. And by faith in his name, this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you. Now I know, brothers, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did, but God has thus brought to fulfillment what he had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that his Messiah would suffer. Repent, therefore, and be converted, that you sins may be wiped away, and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment and send you the Messiah already appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old. For Moses said:
‘A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you from among your own kinsmen; to him you shall listen in all that he may say to you. Everyone who does not listen to that prophet will be cut off from the people.’
Moreover, all the prophets who spoke, from Samuel and those afterwards, also announced these days. You are the children of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors when he said to Abraham, ‘In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ For you first, God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”
This year on June 27, we will celebrate the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The one who had a vision of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque and He appeared to her in the 17th century. The Sacred Heart of Jesus tells us of the great love that Jesus has for us. Jesus’ love is like a father’s love for his children or a husband’s love for his wife. He gave His life out of love for us all. Let us show our love to Our Great Savior and let us follow Him every day.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I express to you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that My heart is on fire out of love for each and every one of you. Saint Peter did explain to the Jewish people in the temple following the healing of the cripple beggar; he said that it was not by his power that this man was healed but by the power of the glorified Son of God whom the Jews condemned to death. Pilate would have release Me (Jesus) but the Jews present asked Pilate to release a murderer. Peter said that I was put to death by nailing Me to the cross but God the Father raised Me up from the dead. It was by faith in My name that this man was healed and now has perfect health. Saint Peter told the Jews that it was by ignorance that they did these horrible things to Me. So he called them to repent of their sins and be converted, and to accept Me as their Messiah and Lord. Saint Peter said that I was sent to bless the Jews by turning each one of them from their evil ways.
So My dear friends, believe in Me, Your Lord, with all your heart and follow all that I have taught you. Then I will live in your heart and give you all the graces you need to follow the right way and to avoid the temptations of the evil one. I love you all.”

P.S. We had a mostly raining day on Thursday but the rain stopped in the evening. We should have a nice day on Friday.
