Mockery by the Soldiers

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 27, 27 – 31:

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus inside the praetorium and gathered the whole cohort around him. They stripped off his clothes and threw a scarlet military cloak about him. Weaving a crown out of thorns, they placed it on his head, and a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” They spat upon him and took the reed and kept striking him on the head. And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the cloak, dressed him in his own clothes, and led him off to crucify him.

Sometime ago a woman came to see me who was sick but she had stopped to pray. I prayed with her and asked her to give herself to the Lord. She gave herself totally to Him and I then told her that she has to go to Mass every Sunday and to pray her rosary every day. When she got home she began to go to Holy Mass every Sunday and now she prays her rosary every day. Her faith has come back and she has a great love for Jesus and the Blessed Mother.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus
spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who contemplate My Passion and death on the cross. Before I started carrying the cross to Calvary, I was taken inside to a room and there the soldiers mocked Me. They first made a crown of thorns and placed it on My head. I felt great pain as these thorns entered My head and especially when they hit these thorns with the reed they put in my hand. Blood did come out of these wounds in My head and it flowed down My face. The soldiers would mock Me by kneeling before Me and saying these words, “Hail, King of the Jews.” Then they spat on me. I had been stripped of My clothes and they had put a military cloak on Me but when they had finished to mock Me, they took away the military cloak and dressed Me in My own clothes. Now I was ready to start My Way of the Cross.
Spend days, My dear friends, especially Fridays to contemplate My suffering from the Garden of Gethsemane until My death on the cross. This will help you to love Me more and to thank Me for all I suffered for you. I suffered all this out of love for each one of you. Remember I am your Savior.”

Father Melvin

P.S. It was not as warm today Tuesday as the temperature only came to 15 degrees Celsius. However, it was sunny for most of the day except in the late afternoon it became cloudy. It should be sunny tomorrow Wednesday. I am praying for all of you.
