The Lament over Jerusalem
A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 23, 37 – 39:
Jesus said, “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her young under her wings, but you were unwilling! Behold, your house will be abandoned, desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'”
We are approaching the Feast of the Ascension, when Jesus ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. Ten days after the Ascension we will celebrate the great Feast of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles in Jerusalem and filled them with His great power. Let us pray this year that He comes on us again so that we be filled with His strength to stand up for our faith and not to be afraid to preach the Good News.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “For God the Father and for Me too, Jerusalem is very important as the Holy City. It was there that the Temple of God was built and were the Jewish sacrifices were offered to the Father by all the people. All Jews had to go to Jerusalem every year to offer sacrifices for themselves and their loved ones. You would think that the Jews living in this holy city would be always very open to accept anyone sent by the Father with a message. However, what happened in this city is terrible. Many prophets sent by God came to Jerusalem but the leaders refused to accept them and instead they beat them and killed many of them.
I was sent by God the Father to the Jewish people to be their Savior. There are many passages in the Jewish Bible about Me but most of the Jewish leaders refused to accept Me and at the end they arrested Me, beat Me terribly and nailed Me to the cross to die. They never thought that My death on the cross was My sacrifice offered to the Father for the atonement of all the sins of the people of the world. Even My resurrection from the death was not accepted by most of the Jewish people especially their religious leaders.
Although I was born in Israel in Judea, I was sent as the Savior of all the people of the world. I am the Divine Son of God the Father and all who believe in Me and follow Me, will be saved. However, up till today most of the Jewish people have not accepted Me but many non-Jews have accepted Me and follow Me. There are still many people in the world who have no faith in Me. I call you, My brothers and sisters, to be My witnesses wherever you are and wherever you go. Do not be afraid to talk about Me to those who are ready to listen. I will give them the graces they need to believe in Me. I am calling every person in the world to believe in Me, your only Savior, who died to save you. Come and follow Me. I love you all.”

P.S. The weather channel have been announcing for many days that the rain would begin on Monday this week and it would rain for the whole week. Today so far we did not have any rain and the sun came out for a while in the afternoon. The farmers are hard at work and already they have planted many fields of potatoes. May the Lord bless you all.
