Letter to Laodicea

A reading from the Book of Revelation 3, 14 – 22:

To the angel of the church in Laodicea, write this:
“The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the source of God’s creation, say this: I know your works; I know that you are neither cold not hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, ‘I am rich and affluent and have no need of anything, and yet do not realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked. I advise you to buy from me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich, and white garments to put on so that your shameful nakedness may not be exposed, and buy ointment to smear on your eyes so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me. I will give the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself first won the victory and sit with my Father on his throne.
Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

I have finished writing the Newsletter of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, the Mother of Life. for the winter season. I hope to send it out this coming week.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I ask you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters this question: Are you hot or cold? By this I mean are you united with Me or are you far from Me? If you are close to Me you will be hot but if you are far, then you will be cold. Those who are cold like the Christians of Laodicea, have plenty of problems such as being wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked. I told those people to buy gold refined by fire. What does that mean? The gold refined by fire is grace, the great gift I am ready to give to everyone if they ask for it. The white garments that I want you to have means that you have to live a holy life. All must strive for holiness every day. The ointment I have to smear on your eyes is the gift of faith. It is very important that you believe in God the Father and in Me, your Savior, and in the Holy Spirit. I call you all to repent of your sins so that you may receive all these rich gifts.
You know that I am always at the door of your heart and I knock. I cannot come in unless you open the door for Me. If you open the door then I will come and dine with you. I will live with you every day. One day I will share My throne with you in heaven. Come My friends and follow Me and you will be saved. I love you all.”
