Letter to Sardis

A reading from the Book of Revelation 3, 1 – 6:

To the angel of the church of Sardis, write this:
The one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says this: “I know your works, that you have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Be watchful and strengthen what is left, which is going to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember then how you accepted and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not watchful, I will come like a thief and you will never know at what hour I will come upon you. However, you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; they will walk with me dressed in white, because they are worthy.
The victor will thus be dressed in white; and I will never erase his name from the book of life but will acknowledge his name in the presence of my Father and of his angels.
Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

I wish to thank again all those who have written to me for the Feast of Christmas and also to wish me Happy New Year. Some have sent names to place in the Book of Remembrance. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I want you to be full of life My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me. In the letter I asked Saint John to write to Sardis, I told the people there that they were dead. By this I mean that they lived in sin and I was not present in their hearts. I am the one who gives life and when you chase Me away from your heart then you do not have life anymore. Thus I asked these people to repent of all their sins and to stop sinning. If they do not stop sinning, then they will not be saved. They have to work together with Me and follow the way I told them to follow. In that place there were some good people and they lived in union with Me. Those people would indeed be saved because of their good works.
You too My brothers and sisters, I wish that you would all repent of your sins and come and follow the way I want you to follow. What is horrible is to live in sin. As an example I give you this: those who live with a partner and are not married are living in sin. I call you all to stop this sinful life and walk with Me every day. I will bless you and fill you with My graces.”
