Instruction to the Married
Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor7:10-16):
To the married, however, I give this instruction (not I, but the Lord): a wife should not separate from her husband – and if she does separate she must either remain single or become reconciled to her husband – and a husband should not divorce his wife.
To the rest I say (not the Lord): if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she is willing to go on living with him, he should not divorce her; and if any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he is willing to go on living with her, she should not divorce her husband. For the unbelieving husband is made holy through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy through the brother. Otherwise your children would be unclean, whereas in fact they are holy.
If the unbeliever separates, however, let him separate. The brother or sister is not bound in such cases; God has called you to peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband; or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

Yesterday Sunday it was cool and cloudy and we had showers at times. It seems it will be the same today.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to pray for one another, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Many married couples are in great trouble these days. There are so many separations and divorces taking place all the time. When a couple gets married, they vow to live together all their life but how many break this promise. Another problem is that many live together as couples but they are not married in church. This too is sinful. I see that many married couples do not pray or go to church and so they live with the evil one who wants to break up every married couple. Sometimes there is only one of the two that goes to church and pray, while the other does not believe. The one who believes must pray for the unbeliever that he or she may come to believe and to follow Me your Savior. However, those who divorce often find another partner and they live together in concubinage, which is sinful. Today all have to pray for the strengthening of marriage so that both the husband and wife will be faithful to his or her partner. I bless you all.”
