The Apostle James on Dietary Law
Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (15:13-21):
After they had fallen silent, James responded, “My brothers, listen to me. Symeon has described how God first concerned himself with acquiring from among the Gentiles a people for his name. The words of the prophets agree with this, as is written:‘After this I shall return and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again, so that the rest of humanity may seek out the Lord, even all the Gentiles on whom my name is invoked. Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things, known from of old.’
“It is my judgment, therefore, that we ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God, but tell them by letter to avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood. For Moses, for generations now, has had those who proclaim him in every town, as he has been read in the synagogues every sabbath.”

I thank you all for your prayers that the desires of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island may be accomplished. Pray also to Our Lord Jesus and thank Him for all that He is accomplishing. May the Lord bless you all.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, and it does not matter what country you come from or to what nationality you belong. Our Heavenly Father created you all and He loves you all. So you see at the Council of Jerusalem, St. James, the Apostle, spoke beautifully about My work among the Gentiles. The Holy Spirit also worked in the same way among them as among the Jewish people. Both groups were treated in the same way. This means that My Church is to treat them all the same. What is important is what I have asked of them to do and what Moses has asked the Jews to follow. Now that I have come, I have abolished the Mosaic Law, and in its place I have given you a new commandment: ‘Love one another as I have loved you.’ So come and believe in Me and live together as the family of God. As long as the Father and the Holy Spirit and I live in you, then you can be sure you will be saved. So, My dear friends, be united to Me and live according to what My Church teaches you. I love you all.”
