Saul’s Conversion
Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (9:1-9):
Now Saul, still breathing murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, that, if he should find any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them back to Jerusalem in chains. On his journey, as he was nearing Damascus, a light from the sky suddenly flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He said, “Who are you, sir?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do.”
The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, for they heard the voice but could see no one. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him to Damascus. For three days he was unable to see, and he neither ate nor drank.

I thank the Lord for another beautiful and sunny day yesterday. It was a little cooler at 6 degrees Celsius. All the snow is gone in the fields and around the house and already small patches of green grass can be seen here and there. Praise the Lord.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Rejoice, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, every time a person is converted. This means they have accepted the grace that I have given them and they have started to believe in Me, their Savior. Saul was converted in a dramatic manner so that those who were with him might see the drama that took place and that they too might be converted. Saul, who became Paul, was thrown from his horse and fell on the ground and heard My voice. You see I told him that he was persecuting Me. When someone does something evil to one or more of My followers, they do it to Me. You should also understand that the Christians had been praying for the conversion of St. Paul for some time.
“I call upon you all, My brothers and sisters, to pray for the conversion of all those who do not believe in Me. Pray that they may receive the grace to believe in Me and that they have the power to follow Me. You all are to work together with Me so that these people might receive this great gift. My brother Melvin, you have seen the conversion of thousands of people when you were in Africa. Today this is the continent where many, many people receive the grace of conversion. Pray, My friends, that those in other continents who have no faith may come to believe too. I bless you all.”
