Our Mother at the Cross
Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint John’s Gospel (19:23-30) :
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier. They also took his tunic, but the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from the top down. So they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it will be,” in order that the passage of scripture might be fulfilled that says: “They divided my garments among them, and for my vesture they cast lots.” This is what the soldiers did.
Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.

Yesterday, Good Friday, I spent time with Jesus and lived with Him a part of His Passion from the carrying of the cross, to the crucifixion, His death and His burial. It was a great experience as I had during my thirty-day retreat in Jerusalem. I felt the nails go through my hands and my feet and the pain all through my body. It was a great experience to be there with Jesus.
Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I am sure, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in the world, that you joined Me yesterday at the cross of My Son as He suffered terribly until His death. I stood there with great pain to see Him in such suffering. I offered My pain together with His suffering and death for the salvation of all My sons and daughters throughout the world. You see how horrible sin is that it caused this terrible death to My Son Jesus, the Son of God. I call upon you all to return to My Son and to avoid sin in the future. Do not cause My Son anymore pain but show Him your love and follow the way He has pointed out to you. Go to Holy Mass every Sunday and during the week if possible. Repent of all your sins and ask Him for the graces you need to do good. I love you all.”
