The Last Supper

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Luke’s Gospel (22:14-22):

When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles. He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, for, I tell you, I shall not eat it again until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves; for I tell you that from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you. And yet behold, the hand of the one who is to betray me is with me on the table; for the Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.” And they began to debate among themselves who among them would do such a deed.

Today is Holy Thursday, the day that Jesus ate the Last Supper with His Apostles. During this meal, He instituted the Holy Eucharist and gave the Apostles the duty to do this in remembrance of Him. We have to thank the Lord Jesus for giving us this wonderful Sacrament.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Believe with all your heart in the Eucharist My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have accepted Me as your Savior. It was on Holy Thursday that I instituted the great gift of the Eucharist and this is the gift of Myself to all of you. Believe that I am truly present under the species of bread and wine. I am there alive as I live today in heaven. This is the New Manna, which the Jews ate in the desert but it is more than the manna. When you eat the Eucharist, you eat My flesh and My blood, which brings life to you. Unless you eat My body and drink My blood, you do not have life in you. Come often to church to receive Me in the Eucharist. I love you all and I want to dwell in your hearts.”
