Christian Spouses

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
3:1-12):
Likewise, you wives should be subordinate to your husbands so that, even if some disobey the word, they may be won over without a word by their wives’ conduct when they observe your reverent and chaste behavior. Your adornment should not be an external one: braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in fine clothes, but rather the hidden character of the heart, expressed in the imperishable beauty of a gentle and calm disposition, which is precious in the sight of God. For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands; thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him “lord.” You are her children when you do what is good and fear no intimidation.
Likewise, you husbands should live with your wives in understanding, showing honor to the weaker female sex, since we are joint heirs of the gift of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble. Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing. For: “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit, must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears turned to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”

Again I thank all those who phoned me yesterday and today to wish me a happy birthday. I also thank all those who sent me e-mail to greet me. May the Lord thank you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Christian marriage is of very great importance to our Heavenly Father and to Me. It was the Father who established marriage right at the beginning of creation when He created Adam and Eve. So for the Father marriage is a life contract between a man and a woman. He instituted marriage so that children could be born and raised by a father and a mother. It is a fact that a child needs both parents to grow up normally. Same-sex marriage is an abomination to the Father and polygamy is not much better. Christians who wish to marry must understand that the only Christian marriage that is acceptable by the Father is between a man and a woman. They are to live together in love and enjoy their life together. If the Father gives them children then they should be very happy indeed. Children are gifts from the Father and they should be accepted in that way. They should never be seen as a burden but as the greatest gift that a couple could receive. May you live together and know that I am always there to help you. Do not forget to pray regularly. I bless you all.”
