The Resurrection of Jesus
Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (24:1-12):
But at daybreak on the first day of the week [the women] took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were puzzling over this, behold, two men in dazzling garments appeared to them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.” And they remembered his words. Then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and to all the others. The women were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James; the others who accompanied them also told this to the apostles, but their story seemed like nonsense and they did not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb, bent down, and saw the burial cloths alone; then he went home amazed at what had happened.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in My resurrection. Indeed I was three days in the tomb after I had died on the cross. When the women went to the tomb on Sunday morning, they could not find My body because I had come back to life. Angels appeared to them to tell them the great miracle. Then the women told the Apostles that I was raised from the dead but they did not believe at the beginning. Peter and John ran to the tomb and found everything the women had said.
“My dear friends, it is very important that you believe in My resurrection. I am the Son of God, so I could not remain in the tomb. Through the power of God I came back alive never to die again. I am the first person to rise from the dead with a resurrected body and this tells you that you too if you follow Me will rise on the last day. Remain united to Me and open your hearts to receive the graces I won for you and you will receive great glory on the last day. My resurrection puts the stamp on the truth that I brought you. As the risen one, I show you that indeed I am the Son of God and all I taught you is the truth. Never doubt Me and never doubt what I taught you. I love you all and I want you with Me in heaven forever.”
