The Question about the Resurrection

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (20:27-40):

Some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection, came forward and put this question to [Jesus] saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us, ‘If someone’s brother dies leaving a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife and raise up descendants for his brother.’ Now there were seven brothers; the first married a woman but died childless. Then the second and the third married her, and likewise all the seven died childless. Finally the woman also died. Now at the resurrection whose wife will that woman be? For all seven had been married to her.”
Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and remarry; but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. They can no longer die, for they are like angels; and they are the children of God because they are the ones who will rise. That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called ‘Lord’ the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.” Some of the scribes said in reply, “Teacher, you have answered well.” And they no longer dared to ask him anything.

Yesterday was the Feast of the Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple. He is the light of the world.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to believe in the Resurrection of the dead My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters alive today in the world. I was the first person to rise from the dead after I was buried for three days. My resurrection from the dead shows that you too if you follow Me will rise from the dead and go to heaven. When will the resurrection take place? I taught the Apostles and it is written in the Gospels that at the last day I will return to earth with all power and all the dead will rise and meet together in Jerusalem and there I will judge them all. Depending on their way of life they lived on earth, I will judge them whether they are to go to heaven or to hell. It is all due to the fact that they have believed in Me and they have repented of all their sins. Come follow me today and every day and on that great day you will be on My right and come and join me and all the saints in heaven. I bless you all.”
