A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (5:12-16):
Now there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where he was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell prostrate, pleaded with him, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately. Then he ordered him not to tell anyone, but “Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.” The report about him spread all the more, and great crowds assembled to listen to him and to be cured of their ailments, but he would withdraw to deserted places to pray.

The Families for Jesus will be a fundamental organization in the Church for Christian couples (husband and wife together) who have received the sacrament of holy Matrimony and are faithful to their vows. As matrimony is a covenant between two people who form a community, their union is a Christian covenant community. Wherever a couple of the organization is present, the community is there. However, we will refer to them as the “Families for Jesus,” since Jesus Himself revealed this name to me.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Messiah given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to believe that I am the great healer. I healed many, many people when I was on earth. I healed them from all kinds of diseases and one of My healings was the cleansing of a leper. Leprosy is a horrible disease and it destroys the flesh of a person. In Israel during My life there, there were many lepers and I cured many of them. I compare leprosy to the spiritual result of mortal sin. When a person sins grievously he or she is covered all over with a spiritual disease. Only God can remove this spiritual sickness if the person repents of his or her sin(s). You are now approaching My great Feast of Christmas so I want you all to repent of all your sins and to receive the Sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation. Then I will come and dwell in you and you will be in spiritual good health. I bless you all.“
