The Presentation in the Temple
Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (2:21-32):
When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying:
“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe and I asked Her to pray for the conversion of all non-believers and to increase the faith of Bishops and priests of the Church. May She ask Jesus to bless all believers and to give them the graces they need.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you and consecrate you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me in the world. My parents took Me to the temple to consecrate Me to the Father according to the Law. At the temple there was a man present called Simeon who was a saintly man awaiting my arrival in the world. He took Me in his arms and blessed Me. He was happy that he had seen Me, the Messiah and the Savior of the world. What this man said is the truth and he was revealing Me to the people in the temple and he also touched My parents.
“Take to heart, My friends, at what Simeon said about Me. I came into this world to be your Savior. I was sent by My Heavenly Father to teach you and offer Myself to Him to atone for your sins and to win for you all the graces you need to reach heaven. I love you and I bless you.”
