The Burial of Jesus

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (15:42-47
):
When it was already evening, since it was the day of preparation, the day before the sabbath, Joseph of Arimathea, a distinguished member of the council, who was himself awaiting the kingdom of God, came and courageously went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Pilate was amazed that he was already dead. He summoned the centurion and asked him if Jesus had already died. And when he learned of it from the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. Having bought a linen cloth, he took him down, wrapped him in the linen cloth and laid him in a tomb that had been hewn out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses watched where he was laid.

I thank the Lord again for the beautiful day we had yesterday. It was sunny with a few clouds and it was cold enough but this is the end of November here in Canada. Indeed we all need heat in our homes at this time. I have trouble to buy the heating oil as I am short of money to pay for it. However, I have offered it all to Our Blessed Lord that He comes and helps me. He might nudge some of you to help out.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:
“I died for you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. Yes, I died on the cross at the end of great suffering. You know for the Jews the Sabbath is on Saturday and it begins at sundown on Friday. After My death, they had to hurry to get Me off the cross and to bury Me. It was a friend of mine, Joseph of Arimathea, who arranged everything and found a place to put My body. My Mother was there too and She held My lifeless body in Her arms. So I was buried just like any human being. However, you know that My body was not to stay very long in the tomb. My spirit though was gone to heaven and I went to visit the dead, those who were awaiting my arrival, and I opened heaven for them. All of you who walk with Me on earth will one day also enter heaven and I will lead you. I love you all.”
