Parable of the Tenants

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (12:1-12):

[Jesus] began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and left on a journey. At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants to obtain from them some of the produce of the vineyard. But they seized him, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. Again he sent them another servant. And that one they beat over the head and treated shamefully. He sent yet another whom they killed. So, too, many others; some they beat, others they killed. He had one other to send, a beloved son. He sent him to them last of all, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’ But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ So they seized him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come, put the tenants to death, and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read this scripture passage:
‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’?”
They were seeking to arrest him, but they feared the crowd, for they realized that he had addressed the parable to them. So they left him and went away.

Many people phone me every day asking for prayers. Some need prayers because they are sick while others ask for prayers for their families. I pray with all of them asking Jesus to heal them or to bring the families together.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Friend given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to be good listeners to what I have to say to you. First of all My words are in the Bible especially in the Gospels and these words are addressed to each one of you. So you should read the Bible every day. The parable of the tenants is really the history of the Jewish people. The vineyard is their country given to them by God the Father. At times He sent prophets to them to teach them and to call them to the right path. What they did with these is this: they beat them and many they killed. At the end the Father sent His only Son and did they respect Him. NO, they did not. Instead they beat Him and crucified Him. He died on the cross. If you had been there is Israel during My lifetime, you too would have done the same thing. You would have killed Me. So now that you believe in Me as the Son of God come and be My friend and follow Me every day. I love you all.”
