Mark Mallet’s strong message against abortion
Dear Friends,
Here is a strong message in favor of life against abortion: Mark Mallett.
Father Melvin
——————————
IT’S called “partial birth abortion”. Unborn babies, usually over 20 weeks gestation, are pulled alive from the womb with forceps until only the head remains in the cervix. After puncturing the base of the skull, the brain is suctioned out, the skull collapses, and the dead child is delivered. The procedure is legal in Canada for two reasons: one is that there are no laws restricting abortion here, thus, a nine month pregnancy can be terminated, even up to the due date; the second is because Canada’s Criminal Code states that, until a baby is born, it is not recognized as a “human”.1 Thus, even if a baby is fully grown and the head remains in the birth canal, it is still not considered “human” until it is fully delivered.
I can’t think of a more brutal, unjust, and sickening form of murder than what is described above upon the most innocent and defenceless Canadians.2While late-term abortions are more rare, that’s not the point (any abortion is infanticide). The fact that politicians and doctors in our country pretend that a baby is not human until all the body is delivered is one of the most absurd modern tenets in existence. Defying every logic and sensibility, it belongs with the twisted beliefs held of the Jews by Nazis or whites toward blacks in American history.
But Canada had a chance to deal with this horrific ideology when its parliament voted this week on a motion3 to reopen the debate on whenhuman life begins. But only 91 of the 203 Members of Parliament voted in support of the motion, thereby shutting down any such debate. Yes, just a debate! The majority of these parliamentarians were too cowardly to even address the subject. And it’s easy to understand why: the scientific evidence, the ultrasounds, the photos, the undeniable logic… all of it scientifically points towards the humanity of the unborn from the moment of conception. To acknowledge this is to admit that this country has been engaged in infanticide, plain and simple. Thus, the Canadian Medical Association and Parliament prefer to keep this reality in the dark, shrouding the truth in fallacious arguments such as “choice” and “women’s rights”.Since when has murder ever been a right?
“And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.” (John 3:19)
Cowards! Lurking in the darkness so that the blood on their hands may not be seen. Who can look in the mirror and with a straight face say that a moving, kicking, sleeping, smiling, stretching, thumb-sucking unborn baby is not a human being? So when the baby is pulled from the birth canal half way, is the baby only half-human? Perhaps our parliamentarians should devise a law for the protection of partial humans! We seem to be interested in protecting seals, owls and trees. Would not a half-human be at least as valuable? No, not even semi-humans would be granted rights in Canada. For we are guided by cowards who believe the economy is the most important issue (ironically, imagine how our economy would be booming if we hadn’t killed off the last few generations of taxpayers and consumers!).
But not only our politicians are cowards, but we, the Church. Where was the mobilization of the faithful before this motion? Where were the numerous press conferences and releases and commotion in the media? Where is the outrage at the incredulous results of this vote? Where is the Church defending, not only human life, but the souls of those whose eternal salvation is in jeopardy for supporting if not promoting abortion? Cowards! We are cowards! Our silence is our judgment; our apathy our indictment. Christ, have mercy! Christ, have mercy! Jesus promised to spit out the lukewarm, perhaps, giving them an opportunity to repent. But cowards will have no place in the Kingdom of God:
“The victor will inherit these gifts, and I shall be his God, and he will be my son. But as for cowards, the unfaithful, the depraved, murderers, the unchaste, sorcerers, idol-worshipers, and deceivers of every sort, their lot is in the burning pool of fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Rev 21:7-8)
INVITING WAR
We are utter fools if we think we can shed innocent blood and not reap what we have sown, especially when we so willfully turn a blind eye to reality. If I have ever received a strong prophetic word, it was when I was traveling to Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. I will go to my grave standing by the supernatural confirmation the Lord gave me regarding the prophetic word I was to deliver there (see 3 Cities and a Warning for Canada). The warning was and is: if we do not repent, most especially from the crime of abortion, this country will be invaded by a foreign army.
“How terrible it will be for you that have such an easy life in Zion and for you that feel safe in Samaria – you great leaders of this great nation Israel, you to whom the people go for help!… You refuse to admit that a day of disaster is coming, but what you do only brings that day closer… I will give their capital city and everything in it to the enemy… I am going to send a foreign army to occupy you…” (cf. Amos 6:1-14, Good News Catholic Bible)
For the crime of destroying our sons and daughters in the womb, we may see our sons and daughters drafted to war – if we get that far. Canada is one of the richest countries in agricultural land, oil, and freshwater, all with unguarded borders. The red dragon is rising again, and we are deceived to believe that God’s hand of protection will remain over a country that systematically turns its back on the unborn, traditional marriage, and soon, the sick and elderly.
And with nary a peep from the Church.
If we remain unrepentant cowards, then we will soon know whether God does indeed hear the cry of the poor…
“If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes, and takes any one of them; that man is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” (Ezekiel 33:6)
“The commitment to respecting life in all its phases from conception to natural end – and the consequent rejection of abortion, euthanasia and any form of eugenics – is, in fact, interwoven with respecting marriage as an indissoluble union between a man and a woman and, in its turn, as the foundation for the community of family life. … Thus the family, the basic cell of society, is the root which nourishes not only the individual human being, but the very foundations of social coexistence.” – POPE BENEDICT XVI, Private Audience with a group of political leaders, September 22nd, 2012; catholicculture.org
